Electropolishing Procedure
Item Code: BE_ES002
WHAT IS ELECTRO-POLISHING AND ELECTRO-DEBURRING?
Most metals and alloys can be polished and deburring electrolytically, but so far the chief practical application of the method has been for stainless steel. The name indicates that it is an electrochemical process in which the work dissolves in an electroyte under the influence of an electric current.
WHY ELCTRO-POLISHING & ELECTRO-DEBURRING?
The demands on the improvement of surface roughness, cleanliness and corrosive resistance of metals and alloys used by machine manufacturers, food processing industry, nuclear power plants are continuously rising. For such applications, electrolytic ally polished and/or debarred surfaced should be an obvious standard requirement.
SURFACE FINISH
An extremely finer surface finish is obtained by electroletic polishing than by any other method like buffing honing, lapping, pickling. Similarly an electro deburred surface is far and far superior than field, emery finishing and ground surface.
